As you have mentioned in your original post that you have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the touchpad drivers, updating the Bios and still having the issue. I see from your post that you are having issues with the touchpad not working on your HP notebook.

My Spectre x is about a month old, and other than this awful touchpad, it's a wonderful computer. I updated the Synaptics touchpad driver tip from a related string on the forum Make it easier for other people to find solutions by marking a Reply ' Accept as Solution' if it solves your problem. I can navigate using the touch screen but my natural instinct is to use the touchpad so I waste lots of time instinctively going to the touchpad and then having to redo the action on the touch screen. I purchased this laptop around 4 months ago and really enjoy using it.
